Become a Training Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll you’ll play a key role in the strategic direction of the HR Enterprise Learning & Development group (ELD) support of SCE training programs. The Training Specialist position will develop technical, systems, and power skills training. This position may work as part of a larger project team and work with multiple collaborators. As part of the learning organization, this position will work with training leads, internal clients and subject matter experts to determine learning desired outcomes and learning objectives. This position will be responsible for contributing to the overall training development of leadership new hire curricula, new technology systems or maintenance of existing systems and courses, as well as associated operational and business processes. Deliverables may include participant guides, eLearning, job aids, and assessments that are moderately complex to complex in nature. The position will conduct Train the Trainer sessions.

Responsibilities Manages the production request of training materials, supplies, and conduct quarterly inventory Collaborates with trainers and instructional designers to create training deliverables and course content Documents job aids, training reviews, updates and assessments Works closely with project teams to create and implements project specific instructor-led and online technical training programs Receives and shares feedback from clients in a continual effort to improve the overall user learning experience Provides input on documentation of technical training programs, curriculum, and outcome objectives Gathers data on the effectiveness of technical training programs by leveraging a variety of data Supports needs analysis for training and documentation needed to be developed or purchased for internally developed or third party solutions Maintains technical training documentation and prepares reports for analysts and lead trainers to evaluate effectiveness of training sessions Updates training content and supports mapping out of training plans and documentation related to customized training content and evaluation KPI’s A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Three or more years of experience supporting technical training learning initiatives. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, instructional technology, or equivalent work experience Three or more years of experience managing or developing systems, and/or technical training development programs Three or more years of experience in Leadership, Employee Development and/or Technical Training Experience consulting with collaborators to understand performance and skill gaps, determine learning solutions, and linkage to goals Technology Experience (i.e. SAP, EnableNow, Successfactors, Photoshop, Snagit, Adobe, AI) Graphic design Technical Documentation Intermediate experience in instructional design practices and methodologies, including adult learning; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation and Successive Approximation Model. Experience using instructional design applications (ie. Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, learning management systems, MS Office). Advanced analytical and project management skills and have great attention to detail. Highly proficient in engaging audiences, fostering interactive learning environments, and managing group dynamics in both virtual and in-person classroom settings.

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
