Training Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION\n

Serve as the trainer for all maintenance employees. Must have demonstrated knowledge and working experience in military aircraft maintenance organizations governed un CNAFINST 4790.2\n

DUTIES\n\nPerforms all duties associated with training and environmental compliance.\nSchedules, coordinates and executes numerous training events\nEnsures all employees training requirements are maintained according to the standards\nMust be able train personnel on all aspects of Sheetmetal requirements such as hole quality, fasteners, drilling and cold work duties\nMust be able to document and electronically record and organize all training records \nMust have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills\nMust be able to work with all disciplines to ensure training material is accurate and reflects current requirements\nMust be able to conduct safety observations and observe implementation of corrective measures\nMust be able to participate and conduct safety training\nMay be required to inspect equipment and collect samples\nMust be able to identify and address hazardous workplace conditions\nMay be required to prepare and submit reports\nMust be proficient with all Microsoft applications\nOther duties as assigned\n\n

EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\n\nBachelor's Degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for education\nAt least 2 years' experience in training\nMust have at least 5 years' Sheetmetal Mechanic duties preferably at Depot Level or Overhaul Maintenance facilities\nPrefer to have instructor duty in the military with MTS certification or other sources of instruction\nMust have a good working knowledge of OSHA\nMust be physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of this classification\nMust possess effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language to include correct grammar usage\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust have or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n

Functional Requirements:\n\nMust be able to walk, stand, crawl, kneel and bend on level and\/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.\nMust be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, pull over hand, push, reach or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow\/knee and reach above\/below shoulders.\nMust be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.\nMay be required to sit for extended periods of time\n\n

Environmental Factors:\n\nWorks in an office military environment\nWorking closely with others or working alone\nPossible protracted or irregular hours of work as needed or required.\n\n
