Summary You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Training Command, Field Medical Training Battalion - West of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND. Responsibilities You will serve as the Formal School Manager and advise in all school management matters, and assist the Director in planning, directing, assigning and reviewing aspects of Field Medical Train Battalion, advising on all aspects of school operations. You will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies including merit system principals and prohibited personnel practices. You will communicate performance expectations, holding employees accountable, make distinctions in performance, rewarding excellent performance, prompting development and training, and addressing conduct issues. You will review Course Descriptive Data (CDD), and Programs of Instruction (POI), supervise, coordinate and develop instructional materials and curriculum, develop and managing the training input plan (TIP), and design evaluation programs. You will advise the Director in the professional development of faculty, observe faculty in teaching situations, promote and develop new instruction techniques, and interviews candidates for military and civilian faculty positions. You will determine whether test items match the objective and that testing methodology is appropriate for the objective. You will conduct needs analysis and develop learning analysis, analyze, coordinate, and review learning objectives, training, resource requirements, course content, instructional design plans, and documentation of performance measures. You will conduct statistical studies of examination and assessment results to identify trends and potential problem areas, recommending corrective actions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing, reviewing, and developing learning objectives, training, course content, and instructional design plans, analyzing educational data, test results, and academic requirements, and managing various aspects of an academic setting such as a class, team, and school.
