We are seeking a talented individual to join our Training team at Marsh. This role will be based in the Austin – Lakeline office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office (when not conducting onsite training):
Training Specialist
What can you expect?
As a Training Specialist, you will be an essential part of a highly skilled team, delivering training to internal colleagues through structured programs
You will work on multiple projects across the organization, from training development to delivery
You will assist in the design of needed training materials and test new designs to ensure effectiveness, providing feedback and improvement opportunities for new training programs
You will work closely with internal clients and appropriate consulting organizations to improve processes as well as document changes that are implemented
You will maintain a focus on meeting the standards of the organization through an understanding of Professional Standards and any internal quality measures that are implemented as a core function of the role
We will count on you to:
Deliver onsite and virtual training to internal colleagues across the globe, through structured training programs
Coordinate training requests; develop training delivery calendars; schedule training locations for new hire classes, workshops, lunch and learns, etc.; and plan/schedule training delivery to ensure trainings are well-organized and successfully conducted
Coordinate training support from other internal training resources as required in the delivery of the curriculum
Recommend improvements and enhancements to the training curriculum in order to close gaps and improve results
Keep up to date with the latest enhancements in the training field by maintaining contacts and/or memberships in professional training organizations
What you need to have:
At least 3 years' experience in training facilitation, training development, and competency-based models
Expert Microsoft Office proficiency; you will mainly use Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of basic Excel formulas, pivot tables, and Outlook organization is beneficial
Exceptional communication skills, as you will be responsible for delivering structured training content to internal colleagues across the globe
Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills – although this role is highly collaborative, your work is also self-directed, so you’ll need to effectively manage your time as well as organize and prioritize your tasks
Ability and aptitude to conduct research; you don’t mind digging when you need more information
What makes you stand out:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with Articulate 360 training software and Camtasia video editing software highly preferred
Corporate training experience
Ability to analyze and ascertain needs, linking training and design to performance and operational processes
