Live Training and Events (70%)
• Conduct classroom and floor training sessions for production team members in various production functions: assembly, machining, logistics and other hourly support groups
• Drive employment success by serving as a mentor/coach of current employees during execution of training plan
• Use judgment and analytical methods to assess competency level of trainees, this may include oral, written and demonstration assessments
• Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance
• Provide support to Manufacturing Operations in completion of site training objectives and goals; Collaborate with operations to create effective user-focused work instructions, and other training materials as needed to support manufacturing training efforts
• Produce training materials for in-house courses as appropriate; Amend and revise materials as necessary
• Identify and assess training needs of operations staff by conferring with leadership
Administration (20%)
• Track training plantwide, inclusive of annual and mandatory training; maintain training matrices and records
• Coordinate and maintain training materials as a result of process or work instruction updates
• Establish consistent documentation practices across operations, audit documentation to ensure compliance
• Ensure that each area has training materials completed, review and update periodically
• Coordinate, schedule and conduct technical training for new hires and current employees in the operations areas
• Organize the training, including review the list of participants, distribution of materials and training, monitor trainee in training, support OJT trainers in training
• Adhere to quality and safety standards within the department
• Adhere to company policies and operational procedures
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
Special Projects (10%)
• Coordinate and facilitate information sessions and tours with BorgWarner partners (e.g. technical colleges and governmental agencies)
• May serve in various internal company committees (Safety, Culture, Etc.)
• Other projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook products
• Ability to stand, sit and walk on a daily basis in classroom and manufacturing floor environment for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate effectively inclusive of public speaking before large audiences

Additional Information: Travel is occasionally required (<10%)
Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:
• Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand-up lifts.
• Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to assembly, walking, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
• Occasional climbing of steps.
• All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or more is preferred
• Minimum of one-year manufacturing production experience required; Three or more years related vocational industry specific or educational industry experience is preferred
