SCS Training Support Services - Specialist (Testing) (multiple locations/multiple positions)
This posting will be used to fill multiple positions to serve the Testing needs across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi.
WORK LOCATION & SCHEDULE
Multiple positions will be located across Alabama, Georgia, and/or Mississippi Hybrid work schedule (both in-office and telecommute) No relocation assistance will be available. Travel would be up to 50%POSITION SUMMARY
This testing specialist position handles overseeing the overall administration of the craft, knowledge, and skills (CK&S) testing system. This includes the maintenance of the record keeping system and the maintenance and accurate insertion of information in the computer system relative to test items and individual candidate records. The testing specialist will work in coordination with the Labor Relations department on job vacancies and job qualifications. They are responsible for designing, developing, and revising tests as job requirements and technologies change.
In addition they will track and analyze exam data to determine trends, identify and rectify possible problems, train evaluators on how to administer the written exams, complete the paperwork for the practical portions of the exams, ensure that the study guides are developed and posted to the website, as well as develop and maintain the three year training needs assessments with the help of the plant provided subject matter experts (SMEs) and Training Coordinators.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Possesses a customer-service mindset and exceptional interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with a track record of successfully working on multiple projects. Collaborates effectively when working with a team with diverse backgrounds. Effective written and verbal communicator. Strong Microsoft Office experience required. An operational knowledge of QuestionMark (QM), an assessment program used for administrating tests and assessments is preferred. Demonstrated ability to think proactively, identify future challenges, and implement solutions. Able to maintain confidentiality while dealing with sensitive data is required. Working knowledge of a Learning Management System (LMS) is preferred. Experience with LearningSOurce is a plus. Experience with proctoring or administration of tests in a secure environment is preferred. Electrical or Mechanical background in order to evaluate skills testing a plus Required to be detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Must have the flexibility to travel to various locations (50%). Knowledge of labor agreements and job progression a plus.Responsibilities Include:
Meet with SME to review content of tests and assessments. Create and edit tests and assessments for structure and content and add to LMS and QM. Set up qualifications in LMS and in QM for new or revalidated tests. Responsibilities associated with management of QM users. Proctor written tests. Evaluate skills tests. Enter results of skills test in LMS. Train new written test proctors and train on the paperwork for skills proctors. Communicate with the labor department on job postings, testing requirements, and employee qualifications. Report on results of tests and assessments as needed while keeping the confidentiality of such information. Bring ideas to the table on ways to improve and innovate the testing and assessment process.Behavioral Attributes:
