TRAINING TECHNICIAN
Summary You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the Training Support Department of INFOWARTRACMD CORRY STATION PENSACOLA. Responsibilities You will perform a variety of student management and administrative functions supporting Navy educational, training, and student support program areas. You will prepare and review outgoing correspondence, messages, and enlisted evaluations to ensure timely reply/submission. You will use word processing, spreadsheets, and other software to produce a variety of documents. You will maintain personally identifiable information (PII) standards for all documentations, to include proper storage and subsequent disposal. You will act as a Command Pay Personnel Administrator (CPPA), to all servicing Training Support Center (TSCs) for students’ major concerns and issues on all pay and personnel matters, ensuring effective resolution. You will provide input on issues related to Navy pay, personnel, and travel and facilitate Navy pay and personnel transactions. You will provide technical assistance and counseling to officer and enlisted personnel service by TSCs concerning advancements, housing allowances, officer/enlisted programs, statements of service, per diem, lodging entitlements, etc. You will assist with student check in briefs and indoctrination programs, submission of check in package, and review and submission of supporting documents to gain the student into the Navy Personnel Systems (NPS). You will process student check-ins and student diary entries in Corporate Enterprise Activity Resource Systems (CeTARS) to place, update, or remove students on medical, legal, or administrative hold preventing enrollment status. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Determining customer requirements and executing steps necessary to fulfill those requirements; 2) Utilizing standard office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, computers, etc. to perform administrative and clerical functions; 3) Writing letters, memoranda, simple narrative reports, and preparing reports using databases and spreadsheet software; and 4) Analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting guidance and information to draw conclusions based on obtained data.
