Summary THIS IS AN AIR NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This Air National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2125000 and is part of the TN 118th WING, National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 115 (Pyramid on the River Chapter) Responsibilities As a TRAINING TECHNICIAN, 1702-GS-11 (TITLE 32) you will be responsible for Program Management: Plans, directs, controls, and oversees all elements of the Education, Training and Distance Learning Programs. Advisory Services: Provides Education and Training advisory services to commanders and staff on all education and training programs. Program Analysis, Monitoring, and Reporting: Monitors OJT programs for assigned units. Classification: Confers with management and other key operating personnel to discuss training needs, problems and goals. Staff Assistance: Inspects activities pertaining to Base Education and Training for compliance with policies and instructions on a periodic basis. Data Management: Manages data in computer-based systems. Distant Learning Management: Serves as the Distance Learning (DL) Office point of contact. Data Review and Analysis: Ensures accuracy of MILPDS data and performs functional review of data reliability. Administrative Activities: Oversees administrative activities including the establishment and maintenance of administrative, suspense, and publication files and records; safeguards AFIADUCDC test materials, and prepares reports, correspondence, requisitions and forms. Test Control Officer: Serve as Test Control Officer (TCO) for CDC testing. Safeguards AFIADUCDC test material. Ancillary Training: Serves as the Ancillary Training Program (ATP) OPR. Continuing Education: Prepares Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) between the unit/base and educational institution(s), including colleges and universities, providing classes or associated services on base or at geographically separated units (GSUs). Education Services: Plans and directs activities in accomplishment of education services programs including Distance Learning, Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), Air Force Automated Education Management System (AFAEMS), Tuition Assistance and other base education programs. Survey Program: Serves as the base-level QPR for the Occupational Survey Program, Graduate Assessment Survey (GAS) and Field Evaluation Questionnaire (FEQ). Personnel Management: Performs personnel supervisory/management responsibilities. Resource Management: Monitors and oversees the School Resource Report (SRR) program, which forecasts Military Personnel (MilPers), and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) resource requirements for formal schools. ) Student Flight Program: Maintains Student Flight Data including accountability for all Non Prior Service (NPS)/Prior Service (PS) personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-6 THROUGH E-8 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training in following directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise validate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months or 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade of Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
