We're seeking someone to join our team as a Transaction Manager to oversee third-party transaction partners and ensure the alignment of Morgan Stanley's client needs throughout the lease transaction process.
In the Corporate Services division, we provide solutions that enable Morgan Stanley's workforce, across our global workplace locations, to effectively and efficiently work in the service of our clients. This is a director position within Corporate Real Estate, which is responsible for overseeing the management, workplace design and leasing activities of the Firm's properties. May also include the purchasing of properties and all related responsibilities.

What you'll do in the role:
>Manage transactions throughout the life of the lease
>Work with VP Portfolio Managers to translate real estate strategy into executable transactions
>Work with Business Units to clearly articulate their transaction needs
>Drive optimal commercial terms through leverage position in market, negotiation with landlord/asset managers and facilitate internal Morgan Stanley READ approval process
>Represent the Morgan Stanley client by providing input, reviews, and feedback on third party generated RFPs
>Partner with legal in reviewing and drafting local broker agreements and lease drafts
>Perform quality control review on real estate data to identify anomalies and inaccuracies
>Oversee market analysis done by a third party
>Review and adhere to lease obligations; monitor Landlord obligations - including TI allowance

>BA required; an MBA is preferred
>Min 4 years of real estate experience, demonstrating a depth of knowledge in transaction and property management
>Knowledge and understanding of benchmarks, portfolio metrics and supply vs demand analyses
>Ability to view transactions within the context of a larger portfolio Ability to utilize and interpret financial models
>Transaction management, property management, negotiating skills, and customer management experience essential
>Thorough working knowledge of finance (Net Present Value, IRR, PL Impact, Book vs. Tax)
>Effective written and verbal communication skills
>Ability to communicate effectively and build consensus in a collaborative environment
>Goal and process oriented
>Ability to work independently in a fast paced high value environment
>Strong planning, organization, and time management skills
>Ability to read architectural and space planning drawings
>Ability to react to changing business needs and facilitate change as needed
>Broker license highly desirable but not required
