This position manages their team’s posting payment transactions from insurance payers and patients in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, this position posts zero payments and adjustments received through insurance 835 data files, EOBs, and correspondence. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Posts payments (including zero pay) received through 835 electronic remittances, lockboxes, online payment portal, and patient payments received at time of service. + Coordinates staff and demonstrates leadership skills by acting as first line of communication between upper management. + Ensures timely and accurate posting of unidentified checks and remittances to certify accurate patient billing and to reduce accounts receivable days. + Assists accounting with any discrepancies regarding the bank statement and the recordings of deposits on the reconciliation sheet. + Handles all the essential job functions of the Transaction Posting Representative. + Actively participates in CBO process improvement initiatives. + Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Experience: 2-5 years of experience in Patient Accounting, Billing Systems, or health insurance required. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
