Transformation Portfolio Manager

Working hand in hand with each of the business functions, this team are responsible for taking our strategy and ensuring the programmes of work are in place and supported to transform & grow our business to deliver a better proposition and experience for our customers, enabling us to compete sustainably and more profitably over time.

 

Working with the Head of Transformation Portfolio, you will be at the heart of helping the CTO & Operating Board shape and deliver our 3+ year Transformation agenda. As part of a small, but mighty, team you will help ensure we have ‘one version of the truth’ bringing together our Future Transformation Vision, our overall Portfolio of in-flight Transformation, and articulating how we are tracking in terms of delivery.

 

You will help build and manage the framework and tools around robust Management Information and reporting across our Transformation Portfolio. You will support in connecting & regularly engaging the wider Transformation community with the right insight & platform to help drive visibility, align outcomes, improve connectedness, and encourage knowledge sharing. You will help drive fantastic engagement with the Programmes and into the Operating Board to enable better, faster decision making & prioritisation on Transformation and cost. You will demonstrate proactive drive, organisation and curiosity in your approach and will lead by example, championing a Transformation Mindset and encouraging collaborative & end-to-end ways of working.

 

What I am accountable for

 

One version of the truth – Ensure consistent data capture, programme information and understanding across the overall Business Transformation agenda

· Provide a one-stop-shop for all Business Transformation related activity, giving confidence and clarity around project and benefit delivery. · Support the development of a joined-up view with the right processes and data capture and analysis. · Connecting individual programmes through key dependency mapping, resource requirements (capital, people) and outcome mapping. · Support the wider Transformation team in developing the 3- to 5-year Future Transformation Vision. · Drive the Transformation Risk Management Framework. · Manage and continuously improve the process & tooling requirements to support the best engagement · Manage the right metrics to measure progress of delivery against our Business Transformation agenda & key outcomes, including cost E2E Connectivity: Create a Transformation leadership community to align outcomes, improve connectivity and support knowledge sharing · Help drive regular, high-quality engagement with key transformation leaders to stay abreast of key programme developments & ensure a broad understand across our transformation programmes · Support Transformation Community ‘Quarterly Reset’ sessions to bring this group together with the right conversation to ensure we have a joined-up programme, facilitate knowledge sharing and support decision making · Support the creation of a Transformation Community by improve visibility and understanding across our broader Portfolio to improve connectedness & mutual understanding. Better, faster decision making: Enable better, faster decision making & prioritisation on Transformation and cost · Support the development of the right metrics to measure progress of delivery against our Business Transformation agenda & key outcomes, including cost. · Work with the Head of Business Transformation, Finance Teams & other key stakeholders to ensure that the programmes have clear measurement in place and are tracked to delivery. · Be the lead owner for Transformation MI including the right structure, guidance, reporting and access to users across the business as necessary and ensuring a robust control environment. · Support the development of Leadership and Operating Board progress update presentations as needed. · Continually improve Transformation Portfolio Management tooling and methodologies.

What I need to know

Essential Criteria

Successful experience of working on implementation of major Change projects and programmes (essential). Strong organization skills and ability to demonstrate structured approach to solving problem (essential). Experience in reporting, coordinating, and developing of MI and dashboards that enable the right behaviour and decisions making (essential). Stakeholder management skills e.g., able to tailor messages to multiple audiences. Experience of managing and using data, insight, and external stimulus to drive projects to completion. Ability to work independently and drive change proactively across different stakeholder groups. Curiosity and a drive to make things better IT fluent with strong Excel skills and use of dashboards. Ability to engage and gain buy-in from project managers. Good verbal and written communication skills Understanding of how to combine analytical data with a pragmatic approach to drive innovation. Attention to detail in providing accurate and timely programme information.

Desirable

Experience in supporting the organizing and structuring of complex Transformation programmes.
