Transformation Sustainability Lead – Salary circa £75000 national/ circa £85000 London

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for Sustainability, to join the team in Aviva UK General Insurance (UKGI) Transformation and help deliver the pillars of the Aviva Sustainability Ambition (ASA) within the business.

A bit about the job: 

The UKGI Sustainability Lead will drive and align the Sustainability agenda across UKGI Businesses. The role will require an excellent understanding of Sustainability & ESG within the Insurance sector, to facilitate effective collaboration with senior stakeholders and drive optimal outcomes. 

The role holder will collaborate with the wider business to engage and influence key stakeholders, providing both challenge and support to ensure sustainability objectives are met and strategic initiatives are successfully implemented.  They will be responsible for facilitating governance forums to ensure appropriate governance and frameworks are applied. 

Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

Strong understanding and experience of sustainability and ESG principles, practices, and taxonomies within Financial Services including regulations and reporting frameworks. (Global Reporting Initiative, Carbon Disclosure Project, SFDR, TCFD, CSRD, PSI etc.) Strong understanding of general insurance, including underwriting and claims  Experience in driving Transformation and Change Excellent senior stakeholder management with ability to flex with changing priorities.  Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and data interpretation
