Transit Project Coordinator
What You Will Do:

Gannett Fleming Canada is looking an experienced professional for the role of Transit Project Coordinator to join our project team in Toronto, ON.

 

The Transit Project Coordinator will assist in the management of transportation projects for our Clients in the GTA.

Assist with the coordination, management, monitoring and reporting of project milestonesIntegrate and coordinate with all disciplines as required to complete project tasksLiaise with extensive teams of consultants and contractorsDevelop and maintain logs, registers and other tables for tracking purposesLiaise with document control and assist disciplines with document submissions including quality checks processCoordinate meetings, presentations, agendas and minutesRequirement to work from a project office (currently in north Toronto)Practical construction experience of Transit Stations would be an asset.   Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications: 

A minimum of 5+ years previous experience working as a Transit Project Coordinator or Junior Transit Project Manager on transit design projects or projects with large, multidisciplinary teams.Minimum University Bachelor’s Degree; in Architecture or Civil Engineering.Previous experience with interpreting and developing project scheduling, plans, managing budget and risks including document and quality control.Required Architecture-some practical experience as there is station and Transit Oriented Communities work along with Underground aspects.

 

Software & Communication Skills

Previous experience with Primavera or similar project scheduling software is an asset.Proficiency MS Excel and other Microsoft applications such as Word, Powerpoint, Outlook.Proficiency Acrobat or Bluebeam for document mark-ups and comments.Proficiency with FTP, Project Wise, SharePoint, ISO, MS Office. PM+ experience is an assetModerate experience in Revit, Microstation and AutoCAD in order to navigate and identify file content is an asset.Strong written, organizational and verbal communication skills is a must   A holistic understanding of the project delivery process with an ability to think quickly to resolve problems in real time.
