As a Transition Coordinator, you will play a key role in the delivery of the successful transition from contract execution through commencement of services, and through completion and customer acceptance of all Transition Deliverables. Our work depends on an experienced transition coordinator to provide minimal disruption to it security operations, as well as providing the valuable tools and information necessary to assume services. The ideal Transition Coordinator is well organized, projects high energy, strong customer facing interpersonal skills and possesses attention to detail. They will be responsible for managing a time-bound schedule to complete the transition on time and within budget.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Coordinate activities and resources to complete overall transition activities.

Ensure the effective transfer to service operations.

Present and actively participate in Service Readiness Reviews.

Ensure that all plans and policies are in place for all agreed upon services.

Own services transition processes to ensure these are communicated and followed throughout the IT function.

Oversee and support the delivery of key requirements through the transition by providing ongoing support and expertise.

Ensure all processes comply with internal security and technology standards.

Provide technical, administrative, and operational management to assigned projects or task(s), including contract and subcontractor management.

Participate in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, schedules and task order and administrative reporting.

May perform high level technical services on assigned task(s)

Conduct planning and provides recommendations to client and Transition Manager on task workload.

Works in conjunction with PMO to ensure that risks and issues are identified and addressed timely.

Attend customer meetings and may serve as client liaison.

Interact with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff and stakeholders.

Work in conjunction with PMO to ensure development and on time delivery of deliverables and products.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

​WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: BA or additional work experience

Required:

8+ years of experience.Experience with large scale, enterprise IT system O&M, and transition programsExperience defining teams and services to meet contractual SLA’s, experience working with cloud technologies and supporting foundational architecture technologies preferred.Ability to understand high-risk, high-impact, large-scale, complex systems; strong communication skills and an ability to articulate needs and service descriptions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred :

Strong, proven experience working within successful transition management, service delivery and operations management teamsExpertise with large scale, enterprise IT system management and monitoring, service delivery, service desk, software and hardware modernization, development, and/or testing efforts; expertise in infrastructure, networking, database, application and system security, and/or web technologiesAbility to identify project risks, perform high level research by talking to team and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), and develop a mitigation planAbility to run the project meetings and motivate teams to complete tasks on scheduleCertifications - ITIL v3 or v4, Foundation or better

Location: Hybrid or remote with travel. Expect to be on site 25% to 50% in Richmond, VA during transition.

Timeline: This position that is expected to start March - September of 2025.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
