Who we are looking for

CF Global seek an experienced and technically sophisticated buy side trader. The successful individual is highly likely to have some buyside experience but may also have worked on the sell side in a trading role or in Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), execution consulting, electronic trading or an algorithmic team.

Provide best execution in trading for CF Global’s clients by executing effectively with counterparties

Work closely with counterparties and vendors to optimise execution

Assist in ensuring an efficient trading process, feeding back TCA and broker analytics to continuously improve

trade execution

Assist in the development of new tools to improve trading, measurement (TCA) and implementation

Provide ad-hoc and structured support to Head of Trading / other colleagues

What you will be responsible for

As a Transition Exposure & Currency Management Senior Trader, VP you will

Trading

Execution of global equities, spot and forward FX for long-only and hedge fund clients

Communication with client investors on pre-trade analysis and opportunities

Defining trading strategy and implementation with trading team

Monitoring of market movements and communication of execution opportunities to investors

Monitoring of universe of investable securities

Proper communications with compliance from pre and post-trade

Transaction cost analysis to evaluate execution with goal of improving trading efficiency

Per trade for equity investment trades and programs

Weekly for spot FX

Perform, quarterly formal TCA analysis and meeting delivery to clients and compliance

Willing to stay current by study and by understanding global market structures for Equity and FX, as well as direct market access and underpinnings of algorithmic trading

Perform currency hedging (forward FX)

Assist in managing broker relationships

Perform due diligence via questionnaire and in-depth studies on brokers, smart-order routing, algorithm behaviour and dark pool structure and participants

Managing system vendors (e.g. Bloomberg for Trading and TCA, ITG for FX TCA)

Maintain trading procedures manual

Update of various screens and reports for weekly investment meetings

Work with Operations to:

Ensure timely delivery of trading data to counterparty (broker, administrator)

Ensure clean reconciled data available for start-of-day positions and trading

Drive automation of manual processes

Manage Cash

Execution and TCA Tools

Maintain trading procedures manual

Evaluate and drive innovation and progress on TCA tools for all asset classes

Keep abreast of industry trends and new providers of trading insight

Work on tools for market intelligence

Work on tools for tracking down and sourcing liquidity

Work on strategies for TCA benchmarking

Work on trading strategies for each order type and style and TCA benchmark

Create and perform due diligence questionnaires and evaluation for brokers, dark pools and other venues

Customer' function approved person

Undergraduate 2:1 in a technical subject preferred

Prior trading or market facing experience or interest

CFA

Excel/VBA and statistics skills highly desirable

Additional requirements

Candidate should be proficient in m Cantonese English optional Mandarin.

Candidate Should hold SFC type 1 and 2 Licenses. With additional SFC Type 4 and 5 licenses desirable.
