Job Description
We are seeking a Production Transition Manager to oversee the entire transition process of complex applications — from project phase through go-live and stabilization periods. The ideal candidate will ensure operational readiness, team alignment, and the successful integration of new systems into production environments.
Main Tasks
Create and execute detailed transition plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
Coordinate with various teams to ensure alignment with transition goals
Monitor and evaluate transition progress, proactively resolving issues
Communicate changes clearly to all relevant stakeholders, managing resistance effectively
Organize and prepare operational support teams to be ready to manage new applications post go-live
Deliver structured training and support initiatives during transition periods
Ensure operational teams are aligned with the global target operating model
Manage production-related requirements to guarantee platform stability, resilience, and continuity, including coordination on disaster recovery, monitoring, backups, performance, and security
Collaborate with application owners to ensure full lifecycle alignment: team setup, upskilling, production budgeting, and service levels
Define ramp-up and ramp-down strategies according to go-live roadmap
Technical Skills / Experience / Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in managing organizational transitions or technical change initiatives
Proven track record in production environments and operational readiness
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills
Capacity to influence and collaborate across multiple teams
Familiarity with project and transition management tools, documentation, and templates
