Jhpiego, through the CLAMS Project, works with the Department of Health, local health officials, private sector and civil society to advance country commitments to WHO’s global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer as public health burden by 2030. The project increases access to optimal cervical cancer screening and early detection technology through capacity building activities, demand generation and awareness activities, supporting scale-up of services through the national cervical cancer control and management program.
The CLAMS project has screened 4,969 women using HPV DNA testing, built clinical capacities of 40 health providers; trained 247 community health educators; engaged civil society organization across marginalized sectors; and introduced HPV DNA testing through self-collection and treatment of pre-cancer lesions using thermal ablation in 5 project sites.
The reproduction of CECAP print information, education and communication (IEC) materials is sought to support demand generation, sensitization activities and delivery of CECAP information and education services at CLAMS Phase 2 Project sites.
Jhpiego seeks the services of an individual to translate cervical cancer prevention (CECAP) Information, Education, & Communication materials from Tagalog to Cebuano. This is to support demand generation, health education and promotion, health workforce capacity-building, and treatment navigation.
ResponsibilitiesThe consultant will be engaged under a short-term technical assistance (STTA) contract to provide technical and creative expertise in the translation (Tagalog – Cebuano) of the following IEC materials:
• CECAP comic pamphlets with screening and treatment card
• “Mga dapat malaman sa cervical cancer” desk flipchart for individual counseling
• CECAP directional & facility tarpaulins
• “10 Hakbang sa self-collection” instruction chart
• “10 Hakbang sa self-collection” animation video
• Community Health Education resource booklet
• “Iwas cervical cancer” poster
• “Iwas cervical cancer” brochure for parents
• “Iwas cervical cancer” brochure for adolescents
