Opportunity Snapshot:
Compensation: $74/hourLocation: Midland, TX or Carlsbad, NMAssignment Duration: 12 months+Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours Benefits: Comprehensive insurance, 401K, Holidays and PTO Responsibilities Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirementsFacilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team’s goals, objectives, and proceduresAssures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issuesIn addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skillsApplies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designsContributes to research efforts to develop a solution or a new product Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experienceElectrical engineering experience in high voltage projects (115kV level and above)Advanced knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteriaSubstation and Transmission construction experience. Previous work with any utility companies is a plus.Project Management experience -- cost, schedule, material, coordination, etcAbility to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programsRead, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
