Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Transmission Line Project Engineer, we'll count on you to:Conducting analyses to develop design options.Performing PLS-CADD modelingr calculations and analyses.Assisting with preparing cost estimates or specifications.Perform routine to moderately complex engineering and design tasks.Lead design teams to develop and complete full construction packages for transmission line projects.Participate in field reviews or construction observation.Train and mentor junior and entry level engineers.Coordinate work of the electrical design team on large institutional/industrial projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a projectEstablish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceCoordinate workload to complete deliverables on scheduleConduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplinesCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsConduct QA/QC QC for transmission projectsPerform other duties as needed#LI-JF1

Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in EngineeringA minimum of 3 years experience in project execution within the Power Market SectorPrevious experience with an engineering consulting firmBachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferredPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desiredFamiliarity with NESC and GO 95 codes.Familiarity with PLS-TOWER and/or SAPS modules of PLS-CADDPrevious experience with utility industry or engineering consulting firms desired.Preference will be given to local candidates.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) licensePrevious experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector. Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software. (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
