Job Summary:
The B Operator performs multiple functions at this inland fuel services facility. This is a 365-day operating facility. Must be flexible and able to work various shifts that may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Daily rounds- checking all pumps and equipment for leaks, checking pressures, gauges, charts, all drums and buckets and sample cabinets, valve positions (open and closed) Unloading trucks at unloading areas- (red dye, gas additive, led additive, etc.) Processing paperwork and samples from trucks (checking for water) Recording line samples (understanding flash, distillation, vapor, octane, etc. and what the min/max are for each) Tank farm- knowing what products go in each tank, pulling samples and draining water, gauging Pipeline line ups at header Knowledge of Unit operations, Rack, G3, Card Readers and Pipeline transfers Perform Line-ups at process units- for start-up and shut down, slop bottoms, venting, bypasses Daily outside process readings, exchanger pressure and temps Pumping operations - Transferring products Gauges products transferred to/from tanks and pipelines Performs tank to tank lineups, switch and pump tanks as required to move products in/out of storage Performs tank inspections and prepare records as required Routine and ongoing daily inspection of facilities (fire extinguisher and trailer inspections) Sample tanks for testingRequirements:
HS Diploma or GED Experience with bulk fuel storage and pipeline operations is a plusSkills:
