Transplant Center Development Manager
General Summary: The Transplant Center Development Manager performs as a consultant to Transplant Center to build relationships throughout the hospital in all aspects pertaining to NJ Sharing Networks core purpose. Responsible for developing, monitoring and educating on policies, procedures, strategies, and best practices to enhance laboratory services, deceased and living organ donation. Collaborates closely with Transplant Center providing feedback, data analysis and creates performance improvement goals and action plans to improve outcome measures. Partners with NJ Sharing Network departments to improve all aspects of the process. Utilizes skill and independent judgment to maximize outcomes. The Transplant Center Development Manager is responsible to understand NJSN laboratory and organ donation services. Evening and weekend work is required. Responsible for timely compliance with all Network programs and policies. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: + Identifies and develops strategic and professional relationships with key Transplant Center staff including senior leadership. Makes on-site visits to develop relationships. Identifies and implements solutions and corrective actions as necessary. Responsible for internal/external timely follow-up and formal reviews for any issues/concerns + Assesses needs and develops strategic plans to ensure awareness, education and quality improvement of all related services. Develops goals and action plans in collaboration with key administrative contacts at each Transplant Center + Identifies best practices and initiates programs to implement at all Transplant Center hospitals. Ensures that proven methods are communicated internally/externally + Schedules and conducts strategically designed compliant educational programs to improve outcomes. Uses discretion to determine when educational intervention is necessary for performance improvement. Utilizes skills and independent judgment to maximize donation outcomes + Independently presents data and information to Transplant Center hospitals + Develops relationships with Transplant Center senior leaders/administration and staff to ensure commitment to best practices and compliance with key regulations + Maintains current documentation of key hospital personnel, policies and procedures, demographic profiles, educational programs, hospital visits, meeting minutes and other critical information within both hospital and Network + Responsible to prepare and participate in staff, team and committee meetings to ensure development and implementation of best practices are followed + Performs other duties as assigned based on training, expertise, and needs Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree in health related or marketing field required + A thorough knowledge of hospital protocol required + Previous sales/marketing experience in a healthcare related field preferred + Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) or Transplant Center Experience preferred New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network (NJ Sharing Network) is an equal opportunity employer.
