Transplant Data Registrar

The solid organ transplant registrar plays a vital role in the Transplant Service Line operations and works closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, care coordinators, data analysts and physicians. Manages TIEDI registry for organ transplant programs within the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) database UNet. Support United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) membership requirements and transplant specific Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) certification. Assists in creating quality improvement and compliance measures.
+ Manages and oversees the reporting and analysis of complex clinical data for Kidney, Pancreas, Liver, Living Donor, Heart, and Lung organ transplant programs.
+ Manages the data collection and data entry of donor, candidate and recipient specific records via TIEDI forms in UNet.
+ Manages the data collection and data entry of post-transplant outcomes in UNet.
+ Responsible for entering and querying UNet data.
+ Develop and maintain intermediate knowledge of OPTN data collection system and submission requirements.
+ Acquire intermediate understanding of transplant, organ donation and organ offers data.
+ Independently assess the completeness and accuracy of registry data through generation of data quality reports.
+ Assists in creating and illustrating quality improvement and compliance measures.
+ Manages Transplant Service Line data collection and prepares reports using established protocols, related to outcomes to internal and external agencies.
+ Assist in performing quality audits for all components of the program.
+ Participate in process improvement initiatives when necessary.
+ Attends weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings as required.
+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $21.95 - $34.02 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School or GED required. Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred. LPN or RN preferred. Health Science certification will also be considered.
Experience: 2 Years in health-related field (for example EMT or Lab Tech).
License: No Transplant certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
