**UW Medical Center-Montlake - Transplant Financial Services** has an outstanding opportunity to hire a **TRANSPLANT FINANCIAL COORDINATOR LEAD** . This is a hybrid position with both onsite and remote telework days.
**WORK SCHEDULE:**
+ 100% FTE, 40 hours weekly
+ Days Shift **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:** **Transplant Services at UW Medical Center - Montlake** combines the clinical, academic and research activities of the transplantation and cardiothoracic surgery divisions at UW Medicine.
Our board-certified surgeons perform most of the multi-organ procurements in Washington, Alaska, Montana and northern Idaho. We’re organized around the following multidisciplinary clinical teams, all of which provide transplant care with compassion, integrity and respect for individual dignity: heart transplantation, kidney-pancreas transplantation, liver transplantation, lung transplantation, and intestinal transplantation.

+ Opportunity to provide career growth **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Support the transplant finance team and ensure smooth financial clearance for transplant patients
+ Serve as the primary resource for financial coordinators, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in the department’s financial clearance processes
+ Collaborate with direct management, clinical staff, and insurance providers to optimize workflows, troubleshoot complex financial cases, and improve financial outcomes for transplant patients
+ Serve as the primary resource and subject matter expert for Transplant Financial Coordinators regarding financial clearance, insurance processes, and compliance with payer regulations.
+ Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to new and existing TFCs to enhance knowledge and improve performance.
+ Assist with onboarding and continued education of TFCs regarding financial counseling, insurance verification, and authorization procedures.
+ Coordinate and prioritize the daily workflow of the TFC team, ensuring timely financial clearance and authorization completion. **REQUIREMENTS:**
