DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Controller on Nights to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements.
\nWHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
\n\nAccountable for staff pre-brief at start off the shift and liaise with drivers and customer throughout the shift\nTo support the Transport Shift Manager in achieving operational KPI's across all contracts in this multi user environment\nSupport the Transport Shift Manager to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and company policy and procedure in respect of vehicle defects, drivers hours and working time regulations\nAllocate transport resources in line with operational requirements including shift rota management \nPlan and manage operations resources to optimise the utilisation of labour and equipment to effectively manage forecasted volumes\n\nWHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
\n\nPrevious operational Transport Office/Admin Experience is essential\nIT literate, with Microsoft Office Packages especially Excel\nGood communication skills essential as liaising with drivers and customers\nPrevious experience of Microlise and Tachomaster would be an advantage\n\nWHY CHOOSE US?
