Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport & Logistics Buyer to join our team in the Transport & Logistics department within the Automotive sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet the company’s operational requirements, ensuring the best price, quality, and delivery to maintain continuity of supply.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the sourcing process for regional needs in accordance with indirect material purchasing processes and standards. Execute benchmarks and market studies to build appropriate strategies considering network design. Contribute to studying and implementing innovative logistics concepts and network optimization. Lead contract drafting and negotiation with suppliers in collaboration with stakeholders and the legal department. Support communication about contracts with relevant departments. Manage contracts to ensure productivity and quality during the execution phase. Lead quarterly performance reviews with suppliers and stakeholders to track performance levels.Skills and Attributes:
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers. Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and influencing skills. Assertive, resilient, and adaptable to change. Analytical and numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities. Effective time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and achieve set targets. Commercial and financial awareness with market knowledge. University Degree in a major discipline (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics). Fluent in written and spoken English. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Transportation or related positions, with a strong background in supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
