Transport Maintenance - Yard Attendant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Inspect each unit and carrier the day prior to delivery to insure both the modular unit and the carrier are ready for shipment.

Modular unit is free of any damage and ready for transport. All plastic covering modular unit is in good condition, secure, and ready for transport. All HIF items have been resolved and modular unit is ready for transport. Modular unit is properly position on carrier and secured. Lights/electrical on carrier is in good working order and ready for transport. Tires on carriers are in good working order and ready for transport.

Procure a monthly inventory report from Transportation Management listing all modular units currently in storage and:

Inspect each modular unit each month to insure plastic covering is in good condition and no damage has occurred. In the event a modular unit has been in storage for over 8 weeks: Re-cover the modular unit with an additional layer of protective plastic.  Inform Transportation Management so the builder can be billed for this service. Pump off any standing water on top of units. Insure modular unit is stored in such a way as to allow water to run off of the top of unit. Insure storage yard(s) are free of debris and well kept. Inform Transportation Management of any maintenance required (i.e. additional gravel needed, etc.) Insure modular units are stored in an organized fashion congruent to our storage plan and goals. Support Transportation Management and provide shipping height/width information upon request. Insure all safety procedures are strictly adhered to at all times. Insure yard truck(s) is properly maintained and cleaned. Assist the garage staff as time allows and as directed by Transportation Management.
