If so, we are looking for a Transport Operations Manager to join us, on a full time basis, to cover Maternity leave. You will be based In Aylesbury on our Arla contract working a Mon to Fri.

The salary on offer will be up to £46,000. We also offer 25 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other benefits.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
A customer facing role that supports the Regional Transport Manager Operational day to day accountability and responsibility for the site, effectively managing both yours and your teams time to ensure a safe and efficient service As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development Manage the relationship between XPO and our customers, constantly communicating across various stakeholders Ensure that all teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies and procedures Support the Transport Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated Working closely with the onsite customer on a day-to-day basis, you’ll support with period reviews and customer presentation in the Transport Managers absence Provide leadership and guidance for your team to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication Closely working with other operational sites to maximise efficiencies and improve financial performance across the accountWhat you need to succeed at XPO:
Ideally, you’ll already be an Operations Manager or have Transport experience in a 3PL environment, looking for the next step Great People Management and Leadership skills National or International CPC holder – essential A track record of resolving complex issues and delivering results in a fast paced environment An analytical understanding on performances across Safety, Service and Cost
