Job DescriptionReporting into the Transport Shift Manager, the Transport Operations Support will provide general administration support to the Transport Department.
Working Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 19:00 - 03:30
Salary: £29,102 per annum
Key Duties of Transport Operations Support:
Correctly briefing and debriefing driversChecking all timesheets and ensuring all paperwork is correct and alphabetisedChecking driver’s wallets and issuing any information i.e. mailPrinting all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as requiredAnswering the telephone and assisting with any enquiriesDownloading drivers’ cards/ tachographsEnsuring all Estimated Time of Arrivals (ETAs) are communicatedUpdating spreadsheets including, but not limited to, trailer change overs, run summaries and trailer check sheetsDeparting loads using Warehouse Management System (WMS) and then inputting all loads that have departedEnsuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loadsReporting any overspill and correctly completing all relevant paperworkQualificationsAttention to detail/ accuracy. Conscientious and reliableAble to work without direct supervisionAdaptable approach to work/ trainingExcellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate informationAble to work efficiently and accurately under pressureEffectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlinesComputer literate, particularly MS Office applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel or equivalentAble to work as part of a team or individuallyAble to work effectively and communicate to the correct levelPrevious experience in a similar role within a major distribution operationAdditional InformationAs part of our drive to make Culina Logistics a great place to work.
