We currently have a Max-Term full time opportunity for a self-motivated, reliable Transport Operator at our Townsville Lavarack Barracks base. The Transport Operator will provide support for the day-to-day delivery of transport services to Defence. 

Skills and Experience 

Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship);Knowledge of local regions requiredCurrent MR Driver’s License (mandatory)Willingness to Obtain and Retain Driver’s Authority.An understanding of Defence Traditions Protocols is an advantage;Must be flexible in working hours, No Weekend work required.

The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, achieve highest level of safety, quality of work and have a genuine passion for excellent customer service.
 

This position will deliver a range of services including, but not limited to:

Operating company and Defence public passenger vehicles.Washing, cleaning & refuelling of both company and Defence vehicles.Drive mail delivery vehicles & perform mail delivery duties.Maintain vehicle documentation & perform daily inspections of vehicles.
