About the Role
The Transportation planner is responsible for executing transport plans in accordance with customer requirements, agreed-upon processes, following high standards of safety, quality and service and resolving any transport-related issues promptly and efficiently. The role of Transport Planner is also management of transportation costs (standard & extra costs) with special focus on productivity projects.
As part of the newly created GBS team play a key role in implementation and following standardized transport planning processes across European BC sites carriers. The Transport Planner is actively participating in developing and implementation of transportation strategies including improving efficiency, reducing congestion and enhancing the sustainability of transportation systems.
Key Responsibilities Include
Planning transports based on the necessary safety and quality standards Organizing inbound and outbound transportation on daily schedule Delivery note creation Transport order creation in transport planning tools and customer’s platform Contact Carrier and define loading schedules Organize intercompany transport between BC factories Organizing return process of goods from customer Complete and maintain necessary data in SAP and internal databases Adjust, correct, communicate and anticipate changes in transport planning to ad hoc operational issues or late order changes made by customer changes Close collaboration with Warehouse and Quality Department to guaranty loading and delivery on time Managing returns Permanent transport adjustment with regard to changing priorities in close cooperation with production planning, warehouse and Customer Care Monitor loading accuracy, resolve recurring obstacles impacting on time delivery Handle carrier delays and proactively communicate to relevant stakeholders Monitoring, controlling and accepting transport invoiced & pre-billing, take necessary actions in case if discrepancy, maintaining framework orders Report and monitor Transport KPsI including OTIF and drive corrective actions to meet necessary targets
About You
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Transport, Logistic and Business-related field 3+ years of experience in Transportation and/or Distribution Strong proficiency in English – verbal and written Familiarity with Transportation Planning Tools (preferable TMS) Experience in SAP (SAP EWM additional asset) Proficient in MS Office Customer focus, flexibility, adaptability Stress-resistant, strong problem solving skills Professional competence in domestic and international transport
