Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport team at our Rugby site. 

As Transport Planner you will contribute to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Working hours: 

Monday to Friday nights, 10 hour shift.Flexibility with start/finish times between 18.00-21.00 start and 04.00-07.00 finish.

Salary:  £31,656 per annum 
 

Key Duties of a Transport Planner: 

Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out basesReporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arisePlanning collections per day on a time critical basisMaintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’sProactively look for continuous improvementsBe able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescaleHave a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the yearEfficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Stobart’s when volumes dictate.

Qualifications

 

Good geographical knowledge of the UKProficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and OutlookExcellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environmentCustomer focus on delivery performanceCommercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.Experience of using a TMS systemExperience in an FMCG environment
