C.H. Robinson is one of the WORLD'S LARGEST LOGISTICS PLATFORMS and is looking for the next TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR (road freight) for Lyon or Caen **.** Is that you?
As a Transport Supervisor you will supervise a team of employees’ responsible for capacity-facing activities (sales, account management, post-sales support) in order to meet the transportation needs of the customer, deliver a quality experience, and meet organizational financial targets. You will be responsible for coaching, planning, leading and directing the work of the team. As a Transport Supervisor you will build effective relationships with internal partners to understand customer needs and new or ongoing business opportunities, in order to position the capacity team to deliver on expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provide input to management for the use in developing the branch business plan
+ Measure, monitor, and communicate updates regarding performance against specific initiatives as outlined in the branch business plan
+ Daily coaching and performance management. Monitor employee activity, productivity and quality metrics;
+ Gather data and provide input to support the creation of financial performance goals, including a revenue and expense budget, for the supervised team
+ Encourage employee feedback through formal and informal channels (engagement survey, manager feedback)
+ Participate and support carrier procurement strategies for committed capacity process to provide quality coverage options
+ Utilize analytics to drive decision making, manage employee performance and improve quality. Promote usage among the team to ensure appropriate action is being taken in response to results
+ Champion organizational transformation. Work closely with next level leader to drive effective change management and employee adoption of new tools, technology, processes or expectations
+ Participate in functional projects as needed
+ Build, manage, and leverage internal relationships with capacity peers that reinforces a culture of one team and enables the execution of high-quality coverage, ethical issue resolution, and process or service improvements
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Minimum 2 years of ROAD FREIGHT experience; capacity experience preferred
+ Minimum 1 year of prior team management experience
+ Fluent French and English (written and verbal).
+ Other EU languages such as Spanish or Italian will be valuable
+ International mindset
+ Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others
+ Be able and willing to travel up to 20%
+ Driven, enthusiastic, and highly committed
