Job Summary

The Transportation Analyst is responsible for providing reporting and data management to assist the operation of the transportation department, as well as provide software support.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and maintains reporting tools, and data and communicates and coordinates the transportation department’s performance metrics as determined by managementDevelops and maintains daily, weekly and monthly reports to be distributed to management and outside parties to track performance and financial resultsDevelops and distributes performance metrics to assess the internal performanceMaintains company and carriers' fuel and cost files dailyInteracts with internal and external technical personnel in order to facilitate the maintenance of transportation software and provide guidance and maintenance as neededMonitor interface errors and resolve them while providing feedback and training to usersSupports outside carriers’ use of the TMS website and provides training and supportMaintains lane rate informationUses information to develop ad hoc reporting as required

Qualifications

Preferred bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or equivalentThree to five years of experience in the transportation industryStrong knowledge of MS Excel and MS AccessWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office productsPrior experience with Transportation Management Systems is a plus
