Transportation Analyst
Summary of Position:Enter, review and report on inbound transportation carrier invoice processing within contract guidelines and company defined policies and proceduresWork closely with the inbound transportation functional teams and leadership to minimize inbound freight expense while optimizing service and fill ratesPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities 
 Effectively execute domestic inbound transportation finance invoice payables within contracted terms and company policy and procedureReview and process monthly carrier aging files, managing invoices to contract termPrepare financial reports by obtaining data from company finance and operational systems to communicate exceptional invoices to management and carriers for resolutionCommunicate as needed with the transportation team, finance AP and carriers to ensure timely resolution of challenges and appropriate responses to inquiriesOrganize and prioritize workload and tasksComplete other various assignments, as requiredMinimum Requirements/QualificationsBachelor’s degree with a major in business, economics or finance; or two to three years financial / AP work experienceStrong mathematical, financial audit and analytical skillsStrong organizational, administrative, written and verbal communication skills.Extensive working knowledge of the MS Office suite, especially Outlook and ExcelKnowledge of transportation software applications; specifically with freight pay managementShould exhibit initiative, dependability, ability to work with minimal direct supervisionMust possess qualities of integrity, discretion and strong ethicsAbility to be successful in a changing environment and lead through the ambiguity of changeDesired QualificationsKnowledge of transportation or supply chain proceduresKnowledge of LTL, TL and IM transportation contracts and rating schemasThis is not to be considered a complete list of job duties, as they may be amended or added to as needed
