ManTech is seeking a skilled, professional, and service-oriented **Transportation and HAZMAT Specialist** to join our vehicle sustainment team. The selected candidate will provide logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program. **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions. + Plan, direct, or coordinate transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations. + Anticipate transportation problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors. + Develops, administers, and oversees the implementation of site environmental, safety and occupations health programs. + Communicate in both verbal and written dialog while conducting daily business with vendors and other organizations. + Determine logistic support sequences and time-phasing. + Analyses information to solve ongoing problems. + Work in a team environment with independent assignments. + Provides leadership to a team including coaching on performance, coordinating activities, and checking on quality and work progress. + Performs other related duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications** : + **Seven (7) years** **of** **experience and a HS Diploma.** + Experience in operating material handling equipment. Knowledge of industrial safety requirements; Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and personal safety equipment use. + Fundamental knowledge of Import, Export, and ITAR Compliance. + **HAZMAT certified for declaring and transporting Dangerous Goods.** + **Must have proof of completed training in the Army Training and Requirements Resource System (ATRRS) OR Department of the Air Force Learning Record (DAFLR)** + Experience in warehousing operations. + Experience in receipt, accountability, and inventory of equipment in a technical field or military environment. + Knowledge of shipping forms. + Proficient in MS Office, MS Outlook, Excel and common software application and other office equipment. + **Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.** + **Must** **possess** **a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.** + **High School Diploma or GED.** **Desired Qualifications:** + Fundamental knowledge of planning, coordinating, and transporting cargo within the European Union (EU). + TC-AIMS II certified for coordinating the transport of U.S. Department of Defense cargo. **Clearance Requirements:** + Must have an active Secret clearance. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel. + Must be able to push, pull, and reach. + Must be able to work in high noise areas. + Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts. + Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
