Summary You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (SHIPMENT MANAGEMENT) of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will act as a single point of contact for inbound and outbound shipment management. You will arrange for the pickup and/or delivery of personal property shipments. You will determine and advise on entitlements or procedures related to, for example, temporary storage of goods, weight allowances, prohibited items, and shipment of unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles, and household goods. You will respond to all member/employee and TSP requests for information/assistance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Arranging for the pickup and/or delivery of personal property shipments, 2) Performing shipment related tasks incident to the shipment/storage of household goods, including, placing shipment in Storage in Transit (SIT) when required, providing required documents to Transportation Service Providers (TSP)/ contractors, processing shipment changes, etc.. 3) Determining and advising on entitlements or procedures related to, temporary storage of goods, weight allowances, prohibited items, and shipment of unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles, and household goods, 4) Establishing and maintaining records of all lots in storage, determining if lots exceed weight allowances, and arranging for the removal or relocation of items.
