General Hours: Sunday through Wednesday 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Full time 40-hour work week (some overtime as needed)

Responsibilities

Transportation Claims Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinates information between National Beef Departments for overage, short, and damaged (OS&D) load issues

Collect detailed information of OS&D from carriers and/or customers

Ensure all Technical Services guidelines followed in the initial assessment of damages process to determine wholesomeness of product

Collect all necessary information and assist with making any necessary arrangements for outside services

Distributes information to appropriate National Beef departments

Advise customer service of any delays

Determine the value of products and transportation cost

Communicate re-consignments with carrier and authorize additional freight charges

Process, document. disburse, and maintain all records regarding OS&D loads

Arrange transportation to pick up products upon request

Point of contact for National Beef Departments and Transportation Carrier representative when all normal service options have been exhausted and resolution has not been reached

Other duties as assigned

This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates for the Transportation Claims Coordinator position should possess the following:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to work in stressful circumstances and interface with various personalities and levels of authority

Reasoning and problem-solving ability

Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required (minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent)

General office skills

Professional Appearance

Good Work Ethic

Customer service experience preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Strong computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel
