DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor, you will conduct bridge safety inspections and collect essential inventory data according to Department policies and procedures. This vital role forms part of the District Bridge Safety Inspection Program, where you will play a key role in ensuring public safety on bridges, adhering to state and federal regulations, and delivering precise information for effectively managing bridges as critical infrastructure assets.
You will lead a team of Transportation Construction Inspectors (Bridge Safety Inspectors), overseeing their supervision, training, and evaluation. As the inspection team leader and a certified bridge inspector, you will confidently manage structure inspections and non-destructive testing, ensuring strict compliance with Department policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown .
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or
+ Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
+ This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
