BASIC FUNCTION

 

 

Position Overview

 

Responsible for releasing freight holds: processing RFP’s & quotes; processing carrier claims; daily updates for Projects & Rollouts; POD requests; auditing carrier freight invoices & resolving past due invoices; validating third party requests.

 

What you’ll do at Insight

 

Shipment Updates: Responsible for daily maintenance of project /rollout status spreadsheet which includes tracking #’s, status, & POD’s of shipments. Update project tracking tool. Quotes & RFP’s : Responsible for obtaining competitive freight quotes for individual orders or for RFP bids. Sales Support : Responsible for daily sales requests to re-route shipments; track shipments; arrange for same days & special handling. Resolve issues involving deliveries & pickups. Work with the Global Help desk to release, rate & route international shipments. Validate 3rd party account #’s & update client’s account in SAP. Assist Transportation Manager /Supervisor with any rollouts, projects and other daily tasks assigned to the department.

 

What you’ll need to join Insight

 

Amenable to work on night shift schedule and hybrid At least 2 years of experience in warehouse/logistics management or related field Willingness to work on the night shift and ability to work in a hybrid work environment Completion of at least 2 years in college or a Bachelor's degree
