Transportation Coordinator - (Contract)

What You Will Do:
• Liaise between customer, driver, and sales to ensure each service is performed optimally • Maintain inter-departmental communication between our plant operations, sales, and field operations teams• Using Rpra, Geotab, logs and other documents to track and monitor driver activity. i.e. excessive stop times, excessive idling, excessive speeding, etc.• Work with administration and production staff to ensure accurate and efficient creation of manifest• Co-ordinate scheduled vehicle servicing and rectification of equipment issues to improve vehicle performance as required• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with roadworthiness, vehicle cleanliness and appropriate driver operation• Prepare and print memorandums for effective driver communication• Maintain Key Performance Indicators measures. (EG: Spreadsheets) (Note these items to be defined)• Analyze route efficiencies to ensure optimum cost savings achieved• Be pro-active in assisting with the development of safe work practices• Responsible for ensuring driver compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and principles and rectify any non-conformance or matters of concern regarding Health and Safety and Environmental matters• Ensure minimal errors are made and high quality of customer service delivered• Responsible for the quality assurance of smart containers being unloaded and loaded into trucks pre and post trip• Work on Salesforce cases• Update routing through our internal system• Shift: 12:00pm - 8:30pm
