As the Transportation Counselor (Coordinator), your objective is to ensure the safe transport of campers, staff, and VIP guests by leading a team of drivers. The Transportation Counselor (Coordinator) follows the direction of the Guest Experience Manager and ensures all pick up times and drop offs are met in a safe and timely manner. As a Transportation Coordinator, you will schedule, organize, and direct drivers to ensure that deadlines are met. You will also coordinate with medical to ensure that campers and staff are transported to medical facilities if necessary. Outside of your normal duties, you will also be required to help with supply runs, vehicle cleaning/maintenance, and camper departure.
Ultimately, the Transportation Counselor (Coordinator) should be knowledgeable of safe driving practices and team leadership. The Coordinator must be willing to evolve and adapt with the needs of the business. Establish a culture of consistency and excellence to ensure a positive Guest Experience within the Transportation department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Staffing Supervision
The Transportation Counselor (Coordinator) will excel at giving support and communicating to transportation staff the importance of utilizing tools that allow them to be efficient and ensure procedures and tasks are executed with attention to detail.
Maintain a positive work environment for transportation staff, camp staff, and guests
Assist with ongoing training, support and troubleshooting in a timely manner to allow staff to progress in their task.
Service Excellence
Provide safe and efficient transportation to campers, staff, and VIPs
Serve with a team of drivers to provide around the clock coverage of transportation duties
Provide on-call overnight coverage on a rotational basis for transportation and emergency services
Interact professionally with supervisors, team drivers, campers, parents, staff and VIP's
Attend to unaccompanied minor travel, coordinating with parents and airport staff
Professionally maintain continuous and effective communication with Transportation Coordinator, parents, and medical personnel as directed
Greet campers and guests with enthusiasm and hospitality
Maintain the utmost care to the confidentiality of information
Maintain record and receipt of any authorized camp expenditure
Facilities and Equipment
Maintain safe, clean and professional camp vehicles

Basic/Schedule Requirements
Must successfully-pass a background screening to ensure suitability of contact with minor children and the public, in accordance with Federal, state and local jurisdictions.
FBI and DOJ finger printing required
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check
Safely drive a 15 passenger van
Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines
Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings year-round:
On-site work attendance at Woodward West
Summer Camp Season (June 2nd - August 10th)
Preferred 1-week commitment within Summer camp season

Three daily meals are provided as part of employment
Staff housing will be provided during employment
