Transportation Drainage and Stormwater Project Engineer | I-64 Team

Responsibilities
Working in a multiple disciplinary team environment to deliver hydrologic, hydraulic, or water quality solutions Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic studies using current modeling software including PC SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HY-8, SRH-2D/SMS, and others.Developing technical reports, design plans, construction documents, and specifications for the drainage/storm water requirements as part of transportation infrastructure projectsWork with VHB’s integrated team to evaluate permit requirements and develop permit applicationsCreating and expanding technical resources of staffActing as a mentor and aiding in staff developmentIdentifying and pursuing new businessSkills & Abilities
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsTeam-oriented with strong capability to motivate othersMust be a highly motivated self-starterMust demonstrate superior ability in collaborative problem solving with stakeholders, clients, and teammatesQualifications
BS in civil/environmental engineering or related discipline8+ years of professional engineering and analysis experience Advanced understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling programsExperience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD and MicroStationUnderstanding of local, state, and federal technical requirementsPE requiredWe are VHB!
