**Job Description:**
CDM Smith currently has a new opportunity for a Senior Client Service Leader within our South Transportation Group to help sustain, diversity and grow our transportation practice. In this position, you will work with a dynamic team to continue building our transportation business. You will lead the development of a business strategy to increase sales with our existing clients and developing new clients. This will include all aspects of transportation services. This position leads the business development activities for select clients in the region, oversees overall client service, representing CDM Smith in professional organizations, and support sales efforts across the area.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
• Developing new business and maintaining high-value relationships with DOTs, cities, counties, metropolitan planning organizations, municipalities, transit and urban services statewide
• Developing and managing client teams that include project managers, technical specialists, national leaders, as well as junior staff to develop strategic capture plans, proposal efforts, presentations, and other efforts of business development.
• Serving as a key member of our strategy team promoting growth in the area as well as supporting other regional growth initiatives.
• Serving as a technical or project lead as needed on projects of significant size and strategic importance.
• Being active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members.
• Being a strong leader internally and externally.
• Supporting brand promotion through personal and staff participation in the market through professional societies, social media, and industry events.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Previous experience in business development, assisting with the proposal process and presenting/meeting with DOT, municipal, county, MPO, transit and urban based clients strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, networking and team building skills.

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
