Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing highway, arterial, and local roadway improvements. This role involves the development of roadway, signing, pavement marking, traffic signal, and maintenance of traffic plans. The Transportation Engineer will also conduct roadway 3D modeling, prepare estimated quantity calculations, cost estimates, and alternative evaluation studies, as well as conduct site visits to support the design process.
ResponsibilitiesDesign highway, arterial, and local roadway improvements.Develop roadway, signing, pavement marking, traffic signal, and maintenance of traffic plans.Perform roadway 3D modeling.Prepare estimated quantity calculations and cost estimates.Conduct site visits to support the design process.Prepare alternative evaluation studies and similar reports.Essential SkillsExperience with Microstation, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and Transportation design.Proficiency in Civil 3D or OpenRoads.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.EIT certification.5+ years of experience in Transportation Design, either in Bridge/Highway design.3+ years of experience using Civil 3D or OpenRoads/Microstation.On track for obtaining a P.E. license.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ODOT projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Work Environment
This position requires working three days in the office and two days from home. The role primarily involves desk work, focusing on design tasks. Approximately 15% of the job will involve travel to job sites in northwest Ohio. The company offers a stable work environment with high-quality consulting work done across the country.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
