Role description:
Arcadis Toronto West's transportation team is looking for a motivated individual with a strong interest in transportation engineering as it relates to roadway and staging design. The core of this team's work involves the preparation of traffic staging design packages for a variety of projects located in the GTA including light rail transit projects. These packages emphasize the concept of traffic safety design for both the public and on-site workers. There is also the potential to gain exposure to other transportation related disciplines such as transportation planning.
Role accountabilities:
Term: 4 Months beginning in MaY 2025. Assisting engineering staff with the following: Transportation design with the use of drafting software. Preparation of submission packages. Technical research involving various roadway design manuals. Aid in coordination between other engineering disciplines.Qualifications & Experience:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering program with a focus in transportation engineering. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings is an asset. Experience with the following software packages is an asset: Office 365 Applications (Excel, Word), Revu Bluebeam. Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation is an asset. A vehicle with a valid drivers license is an asset as it is a hybrid work-from-home position.Why Arcadis?
