Your Opportunity

Stantec's multi-disciplinary office on 5th Avenue in NYC has an opportunity for a highly motivated Transportation Engineering Intern.

This is a paid internship position with full time or part-time hours during Summer of 2025. We believe training, collaboration, and connections are strengthened by working alongside team members. Therefore, this is primarily an office position with limited remote work (if any) anticipated.

Your Key Responsibilities Collect traffic data via publicly available sources and field visits. Analyze traffic data using Microsoft Excel or Programming languages. Develop tools to improve efficiency of data analysis or forecasting.  Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.  Your Capabilities and Credentials Programming languages such as Python, Java Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Detail-oriented Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team environment Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills An interest in transportation planning and engineering Education and Experience Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.

Position will primarily be in an office setting; may require some field work to collect data. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
