This opportunity offers a full-time career-oriented position with our growing and dynamic team of transportation professionals. We are seeking an Intermediate Traffic Engineer/Technologist to continue to build our transportation planning and operational analysis, business lines, and to take their career to the next level.


What a day at EXP has in store for you

Handles transportation planning, design and traffic operations analyses associated with:

Complex traffic impact studies for land development. Environmental assessment and construction traffic impact analyses. Transportation master plans. Operational analysis, including micro-simulation. Support for Traffic tasks and projects. Prepare technical reports and presentations. Coordinate internal resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with quality control. Oversee the assessments and preparation of reports, drawings, etc. by junior staff. Make presentations as a representative of EXP and /or our clients to Municipal Road authorities and/or MTO. Assist in business development activities to continue to grow our group. Make a positive contribution to the overall team culture and environment.

What your experience looks like

Degree/Diploma in Transportation Engineering and/or Civil Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, preferably with Ontario Municipal Road and Provincial authorities and land development. RAQS (Registry, Appraisal and Qualification System) certification for Traffic Impact Analysis, or qualifications to be able to certify is desirable. L.E.T./P. Eng. designation with PEO or C.E.T. designation with OACETT. Experience in project management, report preparation, and client relationship management. Proficient in the application of specialized traffic assessments and/or transportation planning software (Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsum and EMME). Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience leading and working on Transportation Master Plan projects is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements and supporting overall team culture. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements. ITE Canada membership desired. Valid Ontario driver’s license (minimum G2).
