Transportation Hub Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Hub Manager to oversee and manage transportation operations across the West.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of products, managing a team of transportation professionals, and optimizing our transportation processes. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, tactical execution, and excellent problem-solving skills.
The person in this role will report to the Transportation Operations Manager and will work with them and other team members within the organization to oversee the execution of market strategy that complements the overall strategic operation and growth plans.
Responsibilities:
· Leading a team responsible for coordinating & scheduling of all transportation activity in a designated hub region
· Responsible for creating a positive work environment, and ensuring open communication among employees
· Works cooperatively as a member of logistics team to continuously improve transportation costs and efficiency
· Can flow to work and cover all job duties within the hub region as needed
· Responsible for building strong working relationships with carriers, purchasing, operations, and sales
· Works cooperatively with operations, purchasing, sales and vendors to execute solutions to optimize, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction
· Manage and oversee resolution of operational issues with carriers and plants
· Collaborates with management and load planning teams to negotiate rates and contracts for transportation services as directed
· Manage and monitor internal processes to ensure transportation is flowing smoothly and effectively for all businesses in line with business metrics
· Ability to successfully lead and/or drive change and implementation of new processes
· Oversee operations and expense for private fleet drivers and equipment to drive profitability

Preferred:
· Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
· 5+ years transportation experience
· Experience working in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
Note:
50% travel required.
