ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s Hauppauge, NY office is seeking a Transportation Intern to work on engineering programs and learn technical skills and computational software.

 

Responsibilities

Effectively interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely mannerPerform engineering calculationsPerform site visits/field data collectionAssist with preliminary and final design plansAssist with contract documents, including specificationsCompletion of engineer’s estimatesPrepare construction documents

Skills and Attributes

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to independently manager multiple tasksSelf-motivated with attention to detail

Qualifications

Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering

Our best estimate of the hourly salary range for this position located in New York is $19/hr - $28/hr. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
