Transportation Lead

Under the direction of Transportation Management, the Transportation Lead is responsible for delegated duties assigned by department Management. They are responsible for assisting Shift Supervisors supervising the day-to-day shift operations of the Transportation department including: ensuring the essential functions of the department are maintained, communicating service issues, safety concerns, training department staff through coaching, mentoring, and leading, while focusing on guest retention.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Mentor, monitor, and train all department employees; execute department directives, goals and communications. Monitor team members for quality service standards, service delivery standards, level of professionalism, personal appearance and adherence to proper procedures standardized by management. Monitor and facilitate the successful daily operation of the Transportation Department through the implementation of department policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. Foster consistent, excellent guest relations by resolving grievances between internal/external guests. Enforce strict adherence to both State & Federal transportation rules and regulations (present and future) that govern passenger carriers. Receive, review, and process vehicle accident and damage reports. Promote a safe work environment by conducting safety audits and meetings. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. Supervisory Responsibilities

The Transportation Lead will have functional supervisory responsibility over one or more employees.

Education/Experience/Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of one (1) year casino, hotel management experience or training. Previous customer service and cash handling skills desired. Minimum two (2) years driving experience required. Ability to operate both manual and an automatic transmission. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point essential. Must have demonstrated ability exercising utmost discretion with confidential information including, but not limited to internal/external guest personal information. Basic vehicle maintenance experience preferred. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company’s insurance carrier. Must obtain and/or maintain a valid California Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, B, or C with a passenger endorsement. Must maintain a valid California Medical Certificate.
